Dr. Jackson, who is she?

728x90 - Credit Monitoring – All 3 Bureaus

That is the burning question. I tend to think about this from time to time. For me, the biggest issue is not knowing what I will do with a D.R. period in front of my name. At the moment it is all a big question. I know that I don't want to be where I am now and I will not be. That is first!

To answer the question, Dr. Jackson is a confident woman that takes her life seriously. She works well with others and knows how to delegate responsibility. Dr. Jackson is educated and willing to learn new things to enhance her current career. She also has multiple streams of income from a variety of sources. She knows how to put her money to good use.

I understand that who Dr. Jackson is is a very vague explanation. In my opinion, it is needed because I don't know where life may take me. There are so many things that can occur. I don't want to jump to far ahead.

I wanted to write about this due to not really knowing myself. Time is moving so fast. At the moment, I have 5 courses, 3 KAMs, 2 residencies, and 1 dissertation to write before I complete my program. That time is rapidly approaching. Dr. Willetta Jackson will not be a myth, but a reality that is mine.

I Feel Good About the Future

There have been a few months where I haven't not overdrawn in my account. Actually, I have money left over for the month. That feels really great. There are so many things that I want to do. It takes time and money to get them done. I am doing my best to use my money wisely. It is hard, but focus has been the key to making sure I put the money in a good place.

I was thinking and as far as purchasing the two houses. That was something that I always wanted. I wanted to rent houses. I just did it. Two houses in one year, I think that is great. I have never lived in either home. I jumped out there and made it happen. Why can't I do the same thing in other aspects of my life? That is the prime question. Here I am, paying for school and maintaining bills. I may be in a growing period. I want to move, but my credit is awful due to that unforeseen incident that appeared on my credit report.

Outstanding Bills
Walden University $1010.00
Library $40.00
SunTrust $51.00

I will get financial aid for the summer time because I will pass my class with an A. Money that doesn't have to come out of my pocket right then. The $1000.00 for the next two months will go toward my undergraduate debt ($2,990.00).
I don't talk about this much but I want 5 acres or more of land. I will work on a deadline for when I will have it. On the land my dream home with everything that I want in it. A Jacuzzi and sauna (hot and wet). A green home, it doesn't have to be really big. Just 4 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms, a exercise room. I can't forget a candle room.

Staying focused on this is something that I should do more. I somewhat had put that toward the back of my mind. Can't look for the small things. Stepping out is what needs to go on. There are so many things that I want to do, but that little thing holds me back. Could that little thing be finances?
There's not really much to say. I just have to stay focused and not get taken for a sucker. Do the right thing by my money enjoy this life.

I Really See Improvements

At this point in my life, I can honestly say I see improvements. There are things still that I need to work on, but overall things are looking good.

Learning Experiences
Everday, I consider that to be a learning experience. I talk to my friends and know that I can be anyone that I want to be. I can also do anything that I want to do. Life is full of struggles, but it is up to you to do the right with what you are given.

Things I am Working
There are things that I am working on. For instance, living below my means! That is a big one. Currently for the month, I have had enough cash to live on and still do some other things with. I have paid all of my bills and have some money left over. I am growing and I can see the change in my overall finances. Since I have to pay for school on my own, that has let me know that I can pay of things faster then I thought I could.

Bills
TMobile $55.00 was $101.00
Knology $
Mediacom $89.00 was $124.49
Braces $109.00
Credit Card $100.00
Wachovia $200.00
US Dept of Education $25.00
Walden University $1,010. last payment, I should receive financial aid for the next term

Things Needed to be Adjusted
For May, there are many things that need to be adjusted. For instance, paying $1,010 for school. The total payment of $4,310 has really put a dent in my pocket. This is what happens when you get on academic probation. Something that I really am not trying to do again. Once this is done, I should not have to pay for school. That is if I can get financial aid.

During the Summer
During the summer, I may double up on my monthly payments for my braces. Or just continue to pay monthly and put that extra cash toward paying off Wachovia. As you know, my ultimate goal is to have financial freedom.

What the Future Holds
The future holds many things for me and I am looking forward to doing them all. In order to be successful financial freedom is a must. I see how I can achieve it. All I have to do is maintain what I have and work on doing more cut backs.

I try to put the money I receive to good use. That is sometimes hard, but I am able to manage. Looking at the money that I have I do pretty well. I was talking with someone about where our money goes. That is a big question. Spending is sometimes all that we do in order to maintain sanity. I have thought about that and I know what to do in order to keep more cash. I know how to say no. Eating out is not an option. I still do it, but not as often as before. While driving, I go to places near each other instead of wasting gas.

I have celebrated my growth and know my goal is obtainable. All I have to do, is do right by my cash and keep the main thing the main thing.

As for tutoring, I make $15 an hour and I use that cash for gas. Work with my growth. Hopefully, you can learn from my mistakes and build your financial future.

Keith Brown, The Motivator of the Millennium

I had the pleasure of interviewing Keith Brown, The Motivator of the Millennium. He was honest and open about his business. He gave techniques that can encourage students and adults alike to always put your best foot forward.

What is your name and title? Keith Brown, Lead consultant of 20/20 Enterprises (Deemed Motivator of the Millennium

How long have you been doing this? 10 years

What made you want to do this business? Didn’t choose this it chose me. It was a calling. I believe there are two great days in your life. They are, the day you were born and the day you discover why you were born.

What steps did you take in order to get things started? Did much on the job training. Networking with schools and educational arenas.

Did it take much start up to organize your business? I used everything in my teacher retirement to get started.

What was the worst thing that happened to you? One of the worst things is stereotyping and not always being valued as much as my colleagues of other races.

What was the best thing that happened to you? Touching lives of children and youth across the world.

When starting, did you have to reorganize your finances? It was easy, I had to scale back financially. For the first few years I acted as if I lived in poverty. I lived way below my means.

Any advice on how to do the things you want to do? Have an attitude, that says not impossible, but I’m Possible. Make certain that your passion is something that will touch the masses. If your goal is to serve others the wealth will come.

Words of wisdom: Leap off the mountain and grow your wings on the way down.
Successful can mean only touching your inner circle. When you are SIGNIFICANT you touch the masses.

I am Excited

Last month, I made some adjustments with my bills.

Cut Backs
Mediacom: got rid of HBO and Cinemax. Old bill $124.00. New bill $85.00
TMobile: added more minutes for $50.00. Old bill $100.00. New bill $55.00
SunTrust: $608.63 having old with their insurance. $580.56 with my own insurance.

This saves a few bucks for the month. That is always good. I am so proud of myself for saving something.

I came to Atlanta for the weekend. I thought that I should get me a few things. Nothing much, just something because I deserve that. I know that whenever I owe, I should not purchase, but put that money toward that bill. Ok, this is my celebration.

Celebrations
Shoes: $47.00
Old Navy: $60.00

Overall, I know that I will get my finances together. Thinking about it I do have bills, but at least for the month I will not be overdrawn in my account.

I checked on getting the back speakers fixed for Liam. That should be $170.00 to get that fixed. My plan is to get things taken care of slowly. Pay off debts and get Liam fixed all at the same time.

This month I had to do more payments out. Purchasing tickets for the Teacher of the Year Gala. All of my checks have cleared too I believe.

May Debts
Tmobile $55.00
Knology $70.00
Mediacom $85.00
Credit Card $150.00
Braces $109.00
Wachovia $125.00
US Dept of Education $25.00
Walden University $800.00 last payment

Walden will be paid off at the end of the month too. Once my grades are done, my GPA will be up and I will be able to receive financial aid. I have already applied for financial aid.

Deficient In Escrow
As for the property that I was having the insurance problem with, the property's mortgage has dropped. Now, I need to pay off my escrow balance which is $1000.00+. The crazy thing about that is I don't know why it is negative.

The money that I will have left over for the month will go toward Wachovia. The quicker I get rid of debt, the better off I will be.

If I could get more properties I would, but my finances are not in order. Multiple streams of income is what I am working toward. I can do it. It is up to me. Where there's a will there's a way. Some money and put money on debts.

Sorting Things Out Takes Time

I read that your thoughts tend to cause somethings to occur in your life. I don't know what. For me, when I think things are going smoothly, something financial rears its ugly head onto my credit report. Don't create anymore debt. That's what I thought I wasn't doing, but I guess I was in so many words. Below you will find my financial obligations.

I don't want to seem so negative because believe you me I am not. When I keep getting hit with bills coming from who knows where I just get frustrated. All I am saying is pay attention to your finances. Don't let anyone handle your money. Get help.

Tax Lien: $11,000 just appeared on credit report this January
Walden University: $1,660 tution owed due to being on academic probation
Wachovia: $2,954.84 student loan from 1995

This is just a quick synopsis of my financial obligations. I don't know what vibe I am putting out to keep getting all of the unnecessary bills. One of my goals last year was to have a 700 credit score. Everytime I got close something popped up. Honestly, I am tired of going through this. Having multiple streams of income has assisted me in paying these debts off.
The tax lien has allowed me not to be able to move. That was a big goal. Enough of that.

Things tend to be working out. At least I have enough cash to handle my bills, that is a blessing. What I am going to do is take every day one day at a time and pay these things off. Regardless it is up to me to handle my debts. These are my responsibilities. I will get them taken care of for myself and my future.

Multiple Streams of Income

Saturday morning on my way to do a moving job, I thought of this Multiple Streams of Income. I truly understand what that means.

Multiple Stream of Income
This is when you have more then one way of making money. For instance, I am not one that acts of if I have all of these things going on. I have created Multiple Streams of Income.

1. Teach full time
2. Moving Company
3. Tutor
4. Betty's Only a Candle Company
5. After School and Saturday Programs
6. Rental properties

This makes me proud of myself. I live my life daily, but have never stopped to realize that I have things under control. There is extra cash coming in. Organization of finances will help to stay on top and achieve financial freedom.

Think of all of the things you can do. These are ways of generating extra cash. The main objective is to have positive cash flow. Put some extra time toward realizing the person you are, who you want to be, and where you see yourself in the future. The time to start is today. We all have gifts that were given to us, it is up to you to determine what that is. Don't let your gifts go to waste. One day you will wake up and see all of the time has passed you be. Do something with what you have. If you don't use it you will lose it.

My multiple streams of income are just right for me. My full time job is teaching. There I am able to work the after school and Saturday school programs making my hourly rate. My moving company was started because my cousin told me of having my own moving company. The jobs come to me, I don't have to do anything just provide the workers. This is with UHaul, I am a subsidiary of their company. I went online and signed up at Moving Help. I created my moving company name, how much I charge, and how I want to get paid. Very easy wa to make extra cash. Started tutoring a friends cousin. 15.00 an hour. I also make candles that I haven't been promoting. There are something I need to implement with that. I have two rental properties. Losing money in one, but making money in the other. Thinking of changing that one into a personal care home. That way I can make more money and provide housing.

Do what you can with what you have. Always put your best foot forward. Things do not have to be that way always. See how you can create muliple streams of income. It will be worth it in the end.

Tax Liens and How they can Affect you

Previously I discussed having a tax lien on my credit report pertaining to a vehicle. I have learned a lesson and have taken full responisibility for the debt that is on my credit report.

3 Things You Should be Aware of

1. Don't give someone your social security number: I allowed my brother to put a car in my name. I never drove the car, rode in the car, or anything of that manner. Now I have a tax lien on my credit report close to $9,000. First, I permitted him to use my SSN to put the car in my name so who is at fault? Mine, of course.

2. Ask about the taxes on a vehicle when you purchase it out of state or in another county: When I first inquired about the lien I was told that it was dealing with a Cadillac Escalade. I disputed it and of course it didn't come off. When I went today, it involves that vehicle and my old truck. Both cars where purchased in other states and the tag was issued in GA. Because the tags where purchased here, the company didn't charge taxes on the vehicle. Please ask if the will charge you tax so you don't get caught years later owing a debt that you are unaware of.

3. Stay On Top of all debts: If you receive documentation stating that you owe anything contact them and ask what it is. See if they can provide some background information to let you know what it is specifically. Debtors do make mistakes so if you feel that it doesn't belong to you dispute it. If it doesn't it will be removed from your credit report.

The Light Makes Things Clearer
This situation has brought me to the light. I was unaware, now I am glad that I found out. I asked her to explain it to me so I would get a clear understanding of what was going on.

I have to pay my part. There is a third party helping me with this situation with my relative. He has to do his part because he was misled.

Where there's a will there's a way. Things happen for a reason. I sometimes question why they always happen to me. Maybe it's not the time for me to experience whatever. Don't fret because trouble doesn't last always. I know that financial success will be mine. I just have to move forward and do the best with what I am given.

More Money More Problems

It's a rainy morning here in Columbus, GA. That doesn't stop the fact of bills having to be paid and life moving on. Regardless, things are constantly moving forward. It is how you handle situations. Stress doesn't make anything change, maybe your emotions and some physical aspects of yourself. The stress will not make the bills or problems go away. Maybe this seems to be somewhat gloomy because I may be tired, but really there is nothing wrong.

Like I stated in my previous post, I did receive my tax return. I paid off several bills, this put me a month or so ahead. School is another thing. There are so many things to do and all of the time in the world. 24 hours just doesn't seem like enough time to do anything especially when you work from 7:40 am-4 pm daily excluding Saturday and Sunday.

Bills
US Dept of Education $13,709 + (putting $25 a month)
Wachovia $2,795.34 ($168.00 a month until paid off, depends on other obligations)
Walden University $2,810 ($2,000 I have to withdraw $ from other account)
Tax Lien $8,000 (this is some bull, don't have anything to say, but I may have to take care of this on my own)

No Grocery Shopping for Me
Due to all of my financial issues, my other half went grocery shopping for me so that saved about $200 for the month. That is a blessing in disguise, thanks for all of the support!

Spring Break
Friday will be the last day before spring break. Really thinking about going somewhere that I will not have to spend much money. Medieval Times in Atlanta. If we go there we can stay with one of my friends and just pay for gas and the tickets. It all depends. Will sort out plans today! As a matter of fact, right now, my main thing is paying off school. I must register for my classes. Can not be left behind.

Thankful for Progress
I am thankful for all of the progress that I have made. Reading PF blogs has really been a support for me. If they can do it I can too. Multiple streams of income is what I am striving to achieve.

Flood Insurance
I did get the flood insurance on my property which I may never use. The city did some rezoning. Last year was the first year of needing the insurance. I didn't get it on my own, so SunTrust got it for me. The policy with them is $700 for the year. State Farm offers it too, that policy costs $580 a year. I faxed the policy to SunTrust last night. I will get an updated mortgage payment. Having a cheaper policy will drop my monthly mortgage payment some. That is a good thing.

Taking One Day at a Time
There are so many things that I want and need to do for this blog. I will take my time and get things together. Maybe I will help someone with their finances. It is hard, but overall it is worth it, seeing financial and personal growth. I am glad that I decided to start my blogs.
